About Callum
I'm an Electrical Engineer from Johannesburg, South Africa, and I'm happiest when I'm solving problems that involve electrons, spreadsheets, and the occasional impossible deadline. After completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Honours in Engineering & Technology Management (Cum Laude) at the University of Pretoria, I've built my career around designing and delivering commercial and industrial renewable energy projects, with a particular passion for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electrical design, and project delivery.

I enjoy taking complex energy challenges and turning them into practical, reliable solutions. Whether it's designing a hybrid energy system, optimising electrical infrastructure, or making sure a project comes together on time, I love the process of figuring out how all the pieces fit together. When I'm not talking about transformers (the electrical kind), you'll probably find me hiking, training for my next open-water swim, or getting lost in a C.S. Lewis book. If the weather is good, there's also a fair chance I'm standing in a river with a fly rod, pretending I'm patient. It is a hobby that keeps me connected to my dad and reminds me that the best things in life rarely happen in a hurry.

I'm relocating to the Netherlands under my partner's Highly Skilled Migrant (HSM) visa, I have full EU working rights, no visa sponsorship required. The only thing on my wish list is joining a great team working on exciting energy projects (bonus points if you're able to apply for the 30% ruling!). If that sounds like your company, I'd love to chat.

In the meantime, feel free to have a look through some of the projects I've had the privilege of working on. If anything catches your eye, don't hesitate to get in touch via email or WhatsApp, I'm always happy to have a conversation.
